Understanding what each level represents and how we work.
The Level System at Lillian James Salon offers our clients options when it comes to salon services as well as providing a career path for growth and achievement for our LJ team members. Clients may choose the stylist/level that best compliments their requests and needs from skill set/experience, to budget.
In short, levels are based on REPUTATION, EDUCATION & DEMAND. As our stylists grow in each area, they earn the opportunity to be promoted.
Our Level 1 and 2 stylists are building their careers and focused on perfecting their craft. They are trained both in and out of our salon and receive all certifications to perform our service list.
Our Level 3 and Level 4 Stylists are industry leaders who not only bring their reputations, decades of experience and extensive education to the team, but they are also committed to paying their expertise forward. Our seasoned stylists help mentor our new stylists and help them to develop their skills.
Level one stylist
Level 1 Stylist
Level 1 Stylists are graduated, licensed and have completed the LJ assisting program. They are perfecting their skills and offer most LJ services. They are completing continued education with our LJ pros and with our partnered brands to gain certificates in most advanced methods. They are just starting their journey behind the chair and are supported by our senior staff members.
level two stylist
Level 2 Stylist
Level 2 Stylists have moved out of the beginning stages of accepting clients and have at least 1 year minimum experience. They are competent in foundational cutting, styling, and coloring services, and have completed continuing education for some specialized services. Level 2 Stylists are working on building their business as they sharpen their skills and evolve in their craft. Booking your service with a Level 2 Stylist is a great option for those who seek a more cost effective price point for an LJ experience.
level three stylist
Level 3 stylists are seasoned service providers with education, and skill from both behind the chair, as well as through top continuing education. They are well versed in the customizing of cuts and coloring services. They are also skilled in advanced services, such as extensive color projects, corrections, texture services, and extensions. At this stage, Level 3 Stylists begin to take part in mentoring and shaping our Level 1 Stylists.

Level 4 Stylists are masters of their craft. They are established, respected, and carry a reputation for excellence that has earned them this title. They come with years, sometimes decades of experience, advanced education and the highest demand for their services. They are leaders in LJ, and work with a personal assistant to teach and train our future LJ girls.
